VIRTUAL: Teens: Playing With Sketches Session 1

Wednesday, October 147:00—8:00 PMVirtualWinchester Public Library80 Washington St, Winchester, MA, 01890

Teens, are you looking for a creative boost?  Does staring at your blank sketchbook fill you with indecision?  In this series of virtual programs we'll be using the book Playing With Sketches by Whitney Sherman (ebook always available via Hoopla) to kickstart your creativity.  We will gather together to work through several of the exercises in the book and see what we can create.

In this session we will be working on creating textures, mark making, and a Surrealist game called entopic graphomania.  You will need:

-blank paper for drawing on

-your favorite drawing tools: pencils, crayons, markers, pens, paint, charcoal...anything you have.  A variety of materials is fun to have on hand for mark making, but you can make art with whatever you have.

-Pre-printed paper such as old book pages, take-out menus, junk mail, or old school papers.

This program is for students in grades 6-12.  Registration is required and you can register for one or all of the weekly programs.  The Zoom link will be emailed to you on the morning of the program.

Registration for this event has now closed.
