VIRTUAL: Teen Stress Busters - Origami Stars

Thursday, March 257:00—8:00 PMVirtualWinchester Public Library80 Washington St, Winchester, MA, 01890

This event is for students in grades 6-12.

Everybody could use a little stress relief, especially lately, so we've created a monthly series of stress busting programs designed to get you away from screens, create something with your hands, and take a little time to yourself to breathe and relax.

This month we’re working on a simple and meditative project to help calm your mind and steady your nerves: origami stars. In your kit you’ll receive a handful of strips of paper for folding stars as well as thread and a needle for turning your stars into a garland (but they look just as nice sitting in a bowl). You’ll also receive some hot chocolate to enhance your relaxation experience.

Join Amanda on Zoom as she demonstrates how to create your own origami, or try it yourself using the instructions provided whenever you need a relaxation break. The Zoom link for the demonstration will be included in your confirmation email.

Registration is required to reserve your kit. Registration opens February 25 at 12 AM and closes March 18 at 11:59 PM. We will email you to arrange for you to pick up your kit.

Email Amanda at agogel@minlib.net with any questions.

This program is supported by the Friends of the Winchester Public Library.
