VIRTUAL: Recycled Art Night: Coiled Paper Containers

Thursday, August 67:00—8:00 PMVirtualWinchester Public Library80 Washington St, Winchester, MA, 01890

Part demonstration and part do-it-yourself time, Recycled Art Night encourages teens to use materials that might otherwise have been thrown out (or hopefully recycled) in order to create works of art. Using what you have around you can inspire you in ways you might not have expected.

In this session we'll be learning how to turn unwanted paper into 3D forms that can either be functional (a bowl or basket for holding odds-and-ends) or sculptural pieces of art.  Amanda will demonstrate the basics and you can work along at home to try it yourself.

We suggest you bring old magazines or other paper, scissors, and glue.  (We suggest hot glue because it dries fastest but you're free to experiment with whatever kind of glue you have on hand.)

This program will be held on Zoom. An email with login information will be sent on the day of the program.

This program is for students in (rising) 6th-12th grades.

Registration for this event has now closed.
