School the World is an international education non-profit aiming to solve poverty in Central America through the power of education. One of the largest arms of our mission is our Global Citizenship Program, which gives American high school age students the opportunity to fundraise for schools and educational programming, and then travel to the community where their funds will be going. Many of our students in this program come from Winchester, and in order to make sure they get as much as possible out of the experience, we conduct pre-trip meetings that give them background on the cultural and historical context of the communities and countries they will visit.
