In this three part series, participants will learn techniques and skills to turn discarded library books into works of art.  Registration for the first session ensures your spot in all three sessions.  This events is for teens in grades 6-12.

January 27:  In session one we’ll explore examples of altered book art, consider some themes we could use in our artwork, and begin the process of forming the book into a blank canvas. 

February 10: In session two we will experiment with ways to use mixed media to create art in our prepared books.

February 24: In session three we will learn techniques for adding elements like pop-ups, pockets, and niches.
